Description

Building on the skills acquired in EN 110, EN 111 Empowers students to communicate effectively in academic contexts. To do so, students are asked to develop understanding of texts, academic conventions, disciplines and their values as the foundation of academic discourse. Throughout the semester students build rhetorical skills to analyze how scholars communicate within, between and outside of disciplines, engage in informed and ethical research practices, demonstrate productive peer collaboration; develop flexible writing strategies at all stages of the writing process. 3 Lecture hours. Prerequisite: EN 110. Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer
