A thematic, reading and writing intensive course, emphasizing historical research and analytical skills. Possible topics include, but are not limited to, the development of ethnicity and ethnic visions of regional history in China, China's military history, frontier/border history, Ancient China and Greece, etc. 3 Lecture hours. May be repeated once with a different topic. Prerequisite: C or better in one 200 level history course.
